On this day, the players across Hungary’s television industry will reveal what they have planned for the coming year: new shows, exclusive previews and ambitious plans – straight from the people shaping what we’ll watch in 2027.

We are especially honoured that Gábor Polyák, the newly elected President of the NMHH, will open the conference programme with a keynote address. After a long absence, Hungary’s public service media (Közmédia) will return to the Big Picture Conference stage with its own programme – and this year, you can hear from them in two separate sessions!

We are particularly proud of this return, which will bring not only a dedicated professional presentation by Közmédia but also one of this year’s most exciting discussions: Hungary’s leading news channels – including experts in news analysis and current affairs from the renewed Közmédia – will come together around one table to debate the most pressing issues surrounding current-affairs programmes, viewer trust and the competition for audiences.

Who will win viewers’ attention, and who will secure the advertising budget? There will be no shortage of roundtable discussions this year! Leading executives and experts from Hungary’s media agencies will take the Big Picture Conference stage to explore the competition between television and streaming, the strength of local content, and opportunities for joint growth among advertisers, agencies and auditors.

Impressive metrics can be misleading – but what really drives business results? Samira Brophy, an Ipsos marketing effectiveness expert joining us from London, will show in her presentation how to avoid the metrics trap and put media, creativity and strategy to work for sustainable growth.

The programme will close with insights essential to business planning for the year ahead: Following the shows and strategies, the sales houses will present their commercial policies for next year.
